Hey man cool video. um incase you dont already know, that helicopter is actually an indoor helicopter. double roaters on both ends (4 in total) means that its highly? subject to be affected by wind. check out the 9100 double horse helicopter, its a single roater(sp), outdoor helicopter.

something similar happened to me where one of the screws holding the rotor came off while taking off. instead of ordering new parts online and waiting a week for them i went to home depot and bought a magnet (about 14 inches long) and? swept my whole living room carpet and found it! 8)

Hi Mike, well i can hover nicely but trying to go forward is quite the challenge.I've done your mods but it still hard to go forward, the only thing i know right now is this? heli does not like any wind whatsoever.I'll keep you updated Mike. Tom

Your first one! you are making a brave start, be sure to check out the other guide/tip videos for this heli on my channel I? have updated a fair amount with significant changes! one being you only want one swash plate to move a lot not both. Thanks for the comment, just go easy with the controls, there will be a tiny delay to the inputs you make and make sure there is no wind at all

Oh you mean pins, these are fiber and simply pull out of the body. Make sure not? to crush them as I think you will find they are fiber. You will see I replaced mine with tooth picks
By: surdez52. on 18 Feb 10, 19:13:08
i need to take the body off but there are two steel round pens below the rotors that go threw the body with rubber grumets. is there a way to pull the pens out? so the body will come up and out
By: mikesndbs. on 18 Feb 10, 17:43:08
Sorry I don't know what you mean??
By: surdez52. on 18 Feb 10, 08:59:39
how do i get the body pens out to take off the body,? with out hurting the body, i need to change the front landing skid

Leaver it out with a flat blade screw driver and when you get the new one, file its clip down a bit so its? not such a tight fit.

Dont worry about answering my question now. I soughted it myself! after some exstensive searching to get it for the right price!! Ive? also figured out the correct setting to make this helicopter fly correctly.

received mine 2 days ago, nice kit and i gave it a good checking over. The grub screws on the main? rotor shaft were loose just as you found so i checked put thread lock on all the main locking screws,i also found that it does tend to fly backwards,so i altered the the front push rods so there was more travell on the front head which cured the problem.

Best advice? is not to mess with the receiver settings unless you know what your doing. It is very unlikely to have any beneficial results, honest.

A great looking model that can be persuaded to fly reasonably well. So continuing from my last suggestions, the blades are ridiculously week and break at the slightest touch. Fitting 'AIREY HARDEN' blades is a good option. These blades are far more flexible and minor damage can be repaired more readily with 'LOCTITE' super glue. They cost the same as the flimsy stock blades.? Land at the first signs of a low battery because 2.4Ghz receivers 'brown out' (switch off) if the voltage drops to low.

I agree with your mods and comments, well done. One or 2 more you might find usefull. The battery tray is extremely weak, as is most of this model. I reinforced the tray with very thin ally sheet, but I also moved the tray 20mm forward and fixed it from the underside rather than the top. This of coarse improved the C of? G and forward flight. Bending the top blade holders up slightly reduces blade strikes and fitting a 200mm lightweight wood dowel cross the rear legs stops model faling -over.

If the screw is stripped as you say? I thin k you will need a new one sadly
By: nicocrux. on 11 Nov 09, 00:45:13
hey I just tried to take off the flybar and the screw got stripped (or whatever the? term is for when the screw head is torn up) This prevents me from taking off the body and making adjustments. Any tips?
