Actually the flight previous to that we had Mozart's symphony #40 coming out of the stove... but I gave it a crack on the FCU with a BFH (calibrated 5lb.) and voilla... chemical brothers. About five days later it started spitting out Madonna... new pilot... go figgure... absoulty would not recalibrate and I had to crew out.... can't put up with a? good T-53 playing Madonna... But will it blend?? anyone??
By: BarnstormingFilms. on 15 Jul 08, 17:16:07
Oh yeah, and it sounds like you have some chemical brothers music coming from the engine, maybe wanna have your? local A&P check that out.

Great video. I'll give it 5 stars here, two for the pilot, two for the daring crew member, and one for the outstanding? helicopter. The commentary was so much better than others who try to yell, or end up saying some really stupid, and ignorant things. Kinda interesting how close to the dicer... I mean tail rotor... you got though.

Hey... just heard from one of the other guys in the hangar that the pilot is actually very high time IFR. Probably why it worked out so well.... I was wondering why there was such a minimum of fuss about it all.... lol... didn't bother me... I've been in way worse than that... or should I say... way stupider than that considering where we were and who was flying at the time... but that is a different? story... lol... younger and dumber days they were.

Thanks so much for the video! Brought back fond memories of getting to OJ base to fly out . Smell of wood smoke and jet fuel in? the air. LOL, The camera motion as the ole work horse flies just about lull you to sleep while sitting in the cockpit and the summers sun beating down on you.. Even better when I got a little stick time while flying out to set up bear fence or staging area ....

yeah... I got a few comments about? the proximity of me to the tail rotor. I assure you it seems as though i am alot closer than I am. I have found that a pilot who has been on a machine for a while can have a buzz show up gradually and not notice it as it happens so slowly. yeah, wasn't much up for the dyin thing either. I'da said something if it had looked hairy."hey we gotta get there"... "hey... we gotta get there in one piece for it to count"!lol
By: helobelow. on 20 Feb 08, 18:14:55
Yeh ..I was just curious, not a big deal but it did look like the? clouds were closing in and Im sure he new what the weather does there regularly. Im sure he was safe cause dying dont seem like much fun...lol. I liked the video and its always nice to see wwhat my brother pilots are doing in other places. Thanks for the video and stay away from the tail rotor too! ....If theres vibration the pilot will feel it.;-)

Oooooh.... that is a bit to Piloty of a question for me. Not sure what his rating was. We had minimal IFR gear on board as I recall... but who knows. (The video actually works in the favour of dramatic presentation. It was not really as bad as it looked. and on? top of that... we might have been AT vfr minimums... but we stuck to em...)

Not that one... but I? can see how you would think so with the paint job. They were in the usa under the company name CREW CONCEPTS.... so at least I don't THINK that they were in LA.
By: heli15firehawk. on 20 Feb 08, 06:12:46
where those the old L.A. county fire? helicopter Thanks
By: helobelow. on 15 Feb 08, 17:44:57
Hey Firestorm I was just curious and forgive me if this is already commented on...Id have to assume that helicopter is IFR rated...is the pilot? I understand VFR is 1200ft. AGL see and avoid in the US regardlss of MSL in class Gulf but I never take a chance unless Im prepered to fly IFR should my ceiling drop. Im sure? those guys appreciated it too!

Bernoulis theorem is what alows us to calculate the ammount? of lift generated by a given airfoil section... Newton was a close second but we didn't have the funding for the additional credits.... lol....
By: helobelow. on 10 Feb 08, 16:25:13
Very funny...Bernulli? What about Newton. Cool? video. Clx1/2xPxV2xS.:-)
