I am currently flying a Syma U6 coaxial RC and want to do more outdoor flying in my yard. What should I go to next? Fixed? pitch? I feel like I can fly the coaxial one pretty well now but it doesn't do well outside unless there is no wind and the charge is very fresh. No real power going forward. Thoughts?

I recently found that you could get a Belt CP 3D for around $150, which is? amazing. A 450 collective pitch main/tail belt driven brushless heli for $150. Man, which this was my starter :)

Great scott!!! What happened to that fixed pitch 300!!! I started with a collective pitch main/fixed pitch tail rotor. Everyone learns a little differently so find what works for you. Best advise - fly at your comfort level. Day 1 I started with less than a foot off the ground for? a second keeping tail orientation. Day 7 I'm at eye level for almost a full battery pack. It might take you longer, it might take you less time, and try to stay within a radius. It'll become smaller overtime.

this all started with a syma 107 that i love for indoor. and i got quite great at flying it. so i moved outdoor with a relatively small? fixed pitch. and now i want to move to 6 ch. my budget is extremely small. Ive looked into building a exi 450 but its pretty expensive and a bit complicated. i found the exceed eagle 50 for around 100 dollars and that fits into my budget great. but you said you dont recomend them with a tail motor. so im really not sure what to do. id like it to stand a lil wind

Is was wondering do I really have to go with? the coaxial copter or can I go straight to the fixed pitch heli?
By: Hentis2000. on 24 Jan 12, 11:54:40
or just buy an iphone 4s ?
By: imbroken73. on 08 Jan 12, 04:00:45
yeah it does get funny when the heli is turned around on you but very helpful?
By: MarshFacev2. on 06 Jan 12, 09:30:04
To differentiate between coaxial and fixed pitch helicopters isn't really correct because coaxial helicopters are fixed pitch in the pure sense of the term. We? cannot change the pitch of coaxial helicopters therefore it is fixed.

@MikeysRC: Thanks buddy. Yeah I have been real tossed up to get the 120 SR? or the more basic CX2 to start out with or maybe something by T-rex.
