just put a tow line? on it and pul as hard as you can , it wil drain the most water out and you can thry to plug up the hole when you are on tow!! (I've used it for real, and it works!)

For the record - The starboard exhaust system broke at the outlet side of the fiberglass muffler. Water from the wet exhaust filled the engine compartment (under the deck) and the bilge pump could not keep up. By the time the engines (twin Detroit Diesels)? shut down water was coming in the exhaust outlet at the transom as the discounted 5" hose was now below the water line. Plugging the hole would have kept the vessel afloat. The boat was recovered and salvaged by the insurance company.
