Steve landed at a D.A of 9500 ft in California, as for the Eagle its? stillborn the RR guys say nothings happening,The nice things about Experimentals you can fix the designs short commings, & to think it started with the RotorMouse and Don Hillberg meeting with Dave Domanski in Corona Ca.

@airkraftinc ....I know, Just saying. I remember my father bringing me to work and I would sit up? on his bench watching him build the first versions of the Executive. It was so cool going from the Scorpion to this.

The are now offering the Rotorway Eagle with a new body design and turbine engine.? I don't see Rotorway redesigning the body of the 162F this far into production. This task will probably fall to an owner/ builder as an aftermarket modification, if this happens at all.
By: mannhorn34. on 11 Nov 10, 02:04:24
To bad they never tried to improve the body. It is so flimsy especially around? the doors.

@airkraftinc 100k. Excellent. I should be better? than an R22, with I presume giving you more time to enter autos

so what is the cost of a turbine Roroway? drumm? roll and wait for the bad news ( grin )
By: alanbstard4. on 19 May 10, 08:33:09
@philipetheridge I can imagine it being nicer to fly than the R22. I wonder if the turbine will? price it out of competition though, or is the turbine comparible to R22 in running costs?

Helicopters in general are intended for relatively local operation. If you need to go cross country you might want to consider an airplane. If you've been flying a helicopter for three hours you'll want to land for a break.? This is probably why most helicopters are designed in the 2 to 3 hour endurance range. You could add more fuel to the JetExec, but it is not recommended for gross weight considerations.

whats the best 2 seat copter with the longest range most only seem to have? a 2-3 hour endurance

I just finished watching the discovery channel where a guy built one of the piston kits. The performance was quite good, with a turbine it would? be excellent. Nice job
By: airkraftinc. on 07 Dec 09, 01:09:11
You can't beat the turbines for ease? of maintenance and reliability.
By: 22josta. on 02 Oct 09, 17:42:13
Actually been looking at a Rotorway or two..Cannot decide? what i wanna do. have a bunch of R22 time. How wold you rate their reliablity/safety? And im unsure of piston or Turbine..??????
By: pianokid989. on 02 Apr 09, 03:21:57
Yes, you can build this yourself.? It's in the amature built category.
By: BrassAxe. on 02 Apr 09, 01:00:12
Can I install this kit myself? Or? would that void any warranty..
By: airkraftinc. on 31 Mar 09, 03:46:29
The JetExec is a sweet conversion for? the Rotorway. I highly recommend the turbine over the piston.
By: airkraftinc. on 31 Mar 09, 03:45:51
The KISS conversion uses a geared transmission that does away with the belts of the piston? version.
