This does look like interesting, adventrous work, although perhaps a bit dangerous if safety procedures aren't followed. The construction I watched here went off without a? hitch... very professionally done :-)

It looks a little drunk, or just dizzy! XD ...but it's actually? just an observation/spotting helicopter that makes a couple of rounds to check that the installed section has been seated into place properly. If everything looks safe, they radio the ground crew to proceed with climbing the tower to bolt it in.

For this part of the project, the power company was working in National Forest lands, and was required to minimize damage to the landscape, so cutting roads to the tower sites was not allowed in most cases. Installing the towers via air support was the only option, and made for a? pretty good show, too! :-)

Well, let say I have flown a bit of power line , cable car construction helicopter in Europa and aboard, but every time I take great pleasure watching video of THE U.S. TEAMS working and? cant help wondering why, here we have still people endangering their life on towers... We're definitely still amateur in comparison. En tout cas : BRAVO !
