Moral Panic? Apparently the city of Los Angeles misses all the fun from the? early 1980s with the McMartin Preschool Trial. The "evidence" in that case was supposedly extremely strong too and over time the case feel apart and the accused were exonerated. Of course, in the meantime the falsely accused individual spent a few years in jail!
