I think Tconst misunderstood my sarcasm. I'm glad we have floating fortresses like these aircraft carriers. They are a sign of great thinking and engineering. I say we should build something bigger and better, keep pushing the limits of what is possible. Imagine if we could develop something like these great ships, but make them for space, the exploration we could achieve. I? think it's possible, and I think we should try.

I wasn't complaining, I was stating that the? United States has provided more technologically to this entire world in the last 70 years than any other country has even thought of. The evolution of our military is a sign of that, as is the evolution of every facet of the US structure. If I were to complain about something it would have to be that we're no longer the beacon of advancement that we were.

Well said. The US has effectively pissed away enough money to solve ALL housing issues, unemployment issues and poverty issues domestically by 10 fold on wars we shouldn't be in and trying to police the planet. While I believe in a strong? military, the USA should have never sent a ship or troops overseas in the last 20 years. As many issues as we have domestically, we have NO business overseas and we have gotten nothing but screwed on our "trade policies".
