You are right they had some very good technology but their problem was too many projects, as for Jets they where only able to get the design? because Churchill scrapped Frank Wittle's funding for the 1st Jet & Fighter Jet program an English invention. That bloody man was a disaster for us in getting us involved in ww1 & ww2 millions of people died because of him yet people think he was a saint. Check out secret allied weapons its a great series on ww2 technology. With weapons its aptness to use

If they had a design that could of lifted the proposed 18 - 26 ton Leopard (ww2 recon panzer - a smaller version of the Man Panther, which was developed? to carry a 5cm or 7.5 cm gun & produced both designs on mass we would of been screwed. Even with what they had as Adolph Galland said "We could of flown in thick fog conditions over London & captured the govt if we used everything" but Hitler retorted "Its against my will & opinion I don't want to fight England" see world at war series BBC.

Good comment. I am glad they did not mass produce this (in terms? of how history turned out but we all know it could of been a different story if people made different choices particularly in light of Danzig massacre and both Poland & Germany raising tensions.) Even so its an amazing machine - I can't believe it could lift such a weight as a 7.5 gun. You can see already in the design future designs & applications from civil sea / land rescue to military uses.

I know your post is very old but the problem and disturbing thing is that he was jewish? like many people at this time in germany (wich had the biggest jewish population) but at the same time he was german. Its always the jews but many of them were germans wich fought in ww1 or many wich were scientists. All those germans were betrayed by there own people. Thats the sad thing but no one says it this way.

I have often wondered... Why is it? that the 2 "bad guys" of WW2 (Germany and Japan)... Seem to be the smartest and most productive people in the world.. Back then and even to this day... German and Japanese products are the best!

Exactly, the Germans are the smartest, brightest, and have the greatest? ingenuity! I say this all the time but people say, "Noooooo, they're all Nazi's, THEY ARE RETARDED!" and I think...how the hell do you think that? They made one of the first helicopters, the first jet airplane, the first self propelled rocket (war), the best tanks, the best guns, the best cars, almost the best food :), Etc.

Not surprising at all. Search for "Hitlerīs jewish soldiers"- up to 100.000 jews proudly served in the Wehrmacht and had ranks as high as admiral.
