I have contacted Hobbyking because they sent me 2 defect products. Their customer? support have still not helped me and itīs been 3 weeks. I posted a comment on Hobbyking Daily and asked? them for help - now I am blocked. Hobbyking is good for buying hardware like 9g servos, glue, rods etc. But I advice all of you out there NOT to buy anything that can break. There are numerous others dealers that will help you-if the problem will come. And sooner or later you get a defect product.

Surface use meaning for rock crawlers/robots? I have another video " Moded (Mode 1 to 2) HobbyKing FlySky Turnigy 9x V2 2.4 GHz Radio" that shows the internals of the radio and the gymbal part used to center the stick - not sure? if they can be purchased separately but I am sure you can DIY a good replacement part. The software is capable of changing the trim characteristics - not sure if 100% is an option though. Good Luck!

Could it be used for surface use by changing the left stick to self center? or are those parts not avilable? Also can trims be made so? that one step up or down goes to 100 or 0 % without having to tap them multiple times in either direction?

Hi, do you have a video showing how to? setup the ER9x to a 450 helicopter?
By: tsisapik. on 25 Feb 12, 00:47:49
No problem ...? in the video description, on the fourth paragraph down, there is a link to the Google code site (ER9x homepage - in blue font) click on those words (it's really a link) and you will be transferred to the ER9x home page. FYI - I enjoyed your scratch build models ... wish I had your skill and patience !!

At 2:21 the video shows the mix to set throttle hold on Ch 3 via THR switch. You are right this is an important feature and in 2:33, T-Cut is the second template down to program into the radio for use. The manual (found in the URL link to the google? code site) covers the features and how to program the radio. There are also some very helpful how-to documents. Regards!

Hi great video can,t see what your doing to set throttle hold, plenty of button pushing, most frustrating I can find? no detail anywhere on the net for such an important safety feature on electric models Regards Goofa

The stock has "single servo" and four "CCPM" settings. With ER9x you have to program each servo mixes and curves and the easiest way to do that? is to use the "templates".

Hi! This radio is currently Mode 2 (throttle stick on left) and set up for airplanes but can also be used for helis. You can mix a little? forward pitch with throttle up in the mixing/curves menu but would not suggest it because it could be a problem during hovering.

Will this tx task for throttle up? when moving forward on a heli? like a % boost when right stick is moved?

Thank you ... gotta get one of these if you want a? capable and inexpensive radio.

thanks much!!! do you think you could do a review on some (good) radios?? ie. dx8, aurroa 9 and so on, showing like range, signal, ect.?
By: tsisapik. on 20 Jan 12, 19:56:56
HI! There are better radio systems out there - the Hitec Aurora 9 for example - but will cost a LOT more. Having said that, this system (even on stock) is definitely better than some radios that come with the model RTF. You should look into FPV - adds a whole new dimension to? the hobby ...

I think what he meant is can you use this radio for a alternate tx (to the plane/ controlling the plane) so you can get better range. I pretty sure you can, but don't rely on? me because i have never done FPV

Greetings ! The stock radio range is within line of sight flying however by moding the radio to use a) other RX modules (i.e. FrSky) and b) moding the radio antenna, the range is increased as there are Rx modules that have diversity capabilities and TX antennas with higher gain? - ranges in excess of 1.7m have been reported.
By: tse75. on 02 Jan 12, 08:15:06
Anyone? know the range on this radio?
By: tsisapik. on 01 Jan 12, 18:41:55
Hi! FPV flying is independent of the radio system used . It uses a video downlink so you can view the flight path from the ground. There are a lot of pins inside this radio - depending on what you want to tap VCC+, ground, PPM, etc. With an OSD (On Screen Display) system, you can view telemetry data in the video downlink - this is again independent of the radio. FrSky has a telemetry systems that work with the rx but tap power from the radio battery.?

If? you take the cover on the back of this remote is there the pins so it can be used with fpv

Hi! The? music was created by the Magix software - it's not a "song" per se ... it's created for background/ambiance for videos. Regards!

HI! I'm not familiar with the MPX Royal Pro 9 radios although I have the Hitec Optic 6 and Eclipse 7 which are suppose to be in joint venture with MPX as well as their models (Cularis, Gemini, Easy Glider, Mini-Mag ...) For personal flying the ER9x? is great - however the TGY 9x works great with stock firmware. I have both and when I don't feel like messing around with mixes and curves - I just pick up the stock radio and away I go .... Good luck to you!
By: spr00sem00se. on 31 Dec 11, 10:59:36
at work i use the royal pro 9 which is amazing, and the wfly which isnt so easiy programmable, so i already understand a bit? about it, but it seems that for personal use this one is the way forwards. thanks
